SUMMARY:Central Rocky Mountain Fall Feast workshops
DESCRIPTION:The Fall Feast will be a hybrid model with in-person and online offerings. \n\n\n\nAs part of these festivities\, a set of workshops will be offered on Saturday\, September 4th. \n\n\n\nWorkshops will align with the theme of the Fall Feast\, “God’s New Thing\,” highlighting their experiences and the way God is working in and through us to create God’s new thing – even during what has been this time of sickness and separation. How do we do church and how will church change? How has your area of ministry (Christian education\, outreach\, mission\, children and family ministries\, intergenerational ministries\, senior ministries\, pastoral care\, congregational governance and the many other ways the church is church) changed\, how is it changing\, and how can we do that ministry more faithfully and effectively? \n\n\n\nPastor Terrell L McTyer\, Minister of New Church Strategies for New Church Ministry\, will be presenting two workshops. \n\n\n\nMaking One Million New Disciples: Exploring Strategies for Multiplication\n\n\n\nWe celebrate the formation of 1000 New Church\, 1000 Different Ways inspired by the 2020 Vision. Now what? New Church Ministry challenges us to make one million new disciples in a decade. What will it take to accomplish this mission? How can you and your congregation participate? The Great Commission is a mandate\, not a suggestion. It’s time to get going! Learn how to motivate every member of your collective to be more externally focused and welcome new believers. \n\n\n\nBecome an Externally Focused Church\n\n\n\nIf your church vanished\, would your community weep? Would anyone notice? Would anyone care? Learn to make serving the community a priority–with dramatic and unexpected results. Your church can be a firm pillar in your community because of the unwavering truth and love of its members. From the minister to the mechanic and the teen to the tenured\, your church will expand God’s family when it extends love to the community. Being an externally focused church is not about trying to be the best church in the community\, but being the best church for the community. \n\n\n\nBe sure to attend the Clergy Convocation on September 3\, where Rev. Rosario Ibarra\, a Building and Capital Services Advisor with our partner Disciples Church Extension Fund\, will be speaking!
