SUMMARY:2024 Pentecost Offering
DESCRIPTION:RESTORE AND REWIND\n\n\n\nWhen it comes to church\, we have a lot of negative tapes playing in our heads: \n\n\n\n\n“Church is judgmental.” \n\n\n\n“Church is hypocritical.” \n\n\n\n“They’re afraid to have fun.” \n\n\n\n“They think they’re better than everyone else.”  \n\n\n\n\nIt’s time for restoration. Time to rewind the tape. \n\n\n\nNew Church Ministry is dedicated to fostering faithful communities marked by deep Christian spirituality and a passion for God’s love and justice. \n\n\n\nLike our ancestors\, we’re going back to the beginning\, when new Christian communities gathered together and shared all they had\, organizing everything around the Spirit’s dreams for their lives and their communities. \n\n\n\nYesterday\, today\, and tomorrow\, God is singing a new song: not a song of judgment\, but of welcome and forgiveness; not a song of superiority\, but of humility and grace; not a song of hoarding\, but of sharing everything we have! \n\n\n\nGod’s movement for wholeness is already underway. Our job is to listen\, and learn\, and follow – supporting leaders and communities as the Spirit calls them into being\, laying down a new song for a new generation. \n\n\n\nChurch as a place of generosity and justice. Church as a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world. \n\n\n\nYour gifts to the 2024 Pentecost Offering\, received in most congregations on Sunday\, May 12\, and Sunday\, May 19\, are divided equally between your regional ministry\, which supports local new communities of faith\, and New Church Ministry\, which trains\, equips\, assists\, and multiplies emerging and affiliating leaders to be “movement initiators.” \n\n\n\nResources\n\n\n\nPrintable Resources\n\n\n\n\n2024 Bulletin Insert\n\n\n\n2024 Poster\n\n\n\n\nGraphics\n\n\n\n\nNew Church Ministry logo (JPG)\n\n\n\nDMF logo (PNG)\n\n\n\n2024 Facebook Banner (PNG)\n\n\n\n2024 QR code to New Church Ministry website (PNG)\n\n\n\n2024 QR code to Pentecost Offering page (PNG)\n\n\n\n2024 Instagram Carousel Image 1 (PNG)\n\n\n\n2024 Instagram Carousel Image 2 (PNG)\n\n\n\n2024 Instagram Square Post (PNG)\n\n\n\n2024 Instagram Story (PNG)\n\n\n\n\nStories to share\n\n\n\n\nDisciples church uses radical acceptance for drug misuse recovery\, support for adults with intellectual disabilities | Photo\n\n\n\nWHOSOEVER: “God did not create you to hate you” | Photo\n\n\n\nChapelle Ste-Marthe: Deep Christian spirituality and a passion for God’s love and justice in Montréal | Photo\n\n\n\n\nVideo resources\n\n\n\n\n2024 Pentecost Offering Playlist (for streaming)\n\n\n\n2024 Pentecost Video English (stream | download)\n\n\n\n2024 Pentecost Video English Subtitles (stream | download)\n\n\n\n2024 Pentecost Video Spanish (stream | download)\n\n\n\n2024 Pentecost Video Korean Subtitles (stream | download)\n\n\n\n2024 Pentecost Video French (stream | download)\n\n\n\nScripture commentary (stream | download)\n\n\n\n\nSong\n\n\n\n\nOne Heart chart (PDF)\n\n\n\nOne Heart sheet music (PDF)\n\n\n\nOne Heart instrumental (MP3)\n\n\n\nOne Heart mix (MP3)\n\n\n\nOne Heart lyric video (streaming)\n\n\n\nMusic Disclaimer: The song One Heart\, One Mind in all its material forms is being provided to you free of charge through the end of 2024.
