SUMMARY:Love in Action: 2026 Pentecost Offering
DESCRIPTION:On Pentecost\, the Spirit did not stay in one place. It moved outward — across languages\, cultures\, and every barrier people believed separated them. In that moment\, a new kind of community was born\, shaped by courage\, generosity\, and love. \n\n\n\nThat same Spirit is still moving today. \n\n\n\nIn a world where many people feel uncertain\, divided\, or disconnected from one another\, the Church is called to be a different kind of presence — one that reflects Christ’s compassion\, humility\, and grace. \n\n\n\nThe Prophet Micah reminds us what God asks of us: \n\n\n\n“To do justice\, love kindness\, and walk humbly with your God.” — Micah 6:8 \n\n\n\nNot just believe. \n\n\n\nNot just gather. \n\n\n\nBut to live in ways that bring healing and hope. \n\n\n\nBecause faith without justice is empty — and justice\, at its heart\, is love in action. \n\n\n\nThe Pentecost Offering helps support New Church Ministry and your Regional ministry to nurture emerging and faith communities of faith. Through these ministries\, new spaces are created where people can encounter God\, build meaningful relationships\, and serve their neighbors with compassion. \n\n\n\nYour gift helps these communities grow in neighborhoods seeking connection and hope. \n\n\n\nThank you for giving\, praying\, and helping the Spirit continue its work among us. \n\n\n\nFor Times Such as These \n\n\n\nPlease give generously to this Special Day Offering. \n\n\n\nSpecial days in the life of the church often allow us to focus our worship\, celebrations and fellowship around moments that are central to our faith. \n\n\n\nDisciples Mission Fund (DMF) Special Day Offerings provide an opportunity to highlight specific ministries as part of our faith celebrations. There are four Disciples Mission Fund Special Day Offerings received each year during Easter\, Pentecost\, Thanksgiving\, and Christmas seasons. Congregations can receive these offerings during worship or budget for a special gift\, and individuals can always designate their gift to DMF for any of these offerings.
