SUMMARY:Exploring Neurodiversity in Communal Care
DESCRIPTION:Have you been searching for ways to show deeper levels of compassion to members of your community? Has the reality of living through multiple waves of the pandemic caused you to feel isolated and cut off? Would you like to join a movement that provides more (w)holistic care?  \n\n\n\nIf so\, New Church Ministry and My SupaNatural Life invite you to join them again for another powerfully interactive webinar in their New Wave Pentecost Series\, where you can discover new ways of communicating the Word of God!  \n\n\n\nOur second installment on July 24 at 2:00 pm PST/5:00 pm EST focuses on expanding communal care for those who are neurodiverse. (Neurodiversity is an umbrella term that covers a range of learning and developmental differences.) \n\n\n\n– Hear first-hand accounts from people with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)\, dyslexia\, and autism \n\n\n\n– Learn how wider society can better serve people in these communities \n\n\n\n– Discover how to create spaces for open and honest conversations about what it’s like to live with neurodiversity \n\n\n\nTo watch a recording of our inaugural webinar on increasing accessibility for those with hearing loss or deafness\, please visit our YouTube channel. \n\n\n\nNew Church Ministry is a general ministry of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada that trains\, equips\, assists\, and multiplies emerging and affiliating congregations and leaders. Its heritage is rooted in the new church movement. \n\n\n\nMy SupaNatural Life is a non-profit organization dedicated to revolutionizing the coaching business by making (w)holistic trauma-informed care accessible to those that need it the most including those living with chronic conditions and their support systems. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nview recording

SUMMARY:Return to “Why” – Reassessing & Reapplying Your Values & Beliefs
DESCRIPTION:“Upgrade Thursdays” are coming to Georgia Disciples! \n\n\n\n“Upgrade Thursdays” is a creative experience using a virtual platform to inform\, inspire\, and encourage the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Georgia family. Drawing from expertise throughout the region and denomination\, presenters will offer an hour-long\, Assembly-style workshop on selected Thursday evenings to Disciples across Georgia. Whether you’re a church member\, lay leader\, or clergy\, you will find multiple opportunities to join in the ways God is leading us in the regional ministry’s LIFT mission: Loving\, Impactful\, Faithful\, and Transforming leaders and communities of faith. (Plus you can skip the travel and stay within the comfort of your own home.) \n\n\n\nPastor Terell L. McTyer will be presenting Return to “Why” – Reassessing & Reapplying Your Values & Beliefs. \n\n\n\nThis workshop will help clergy and lay leaders evaluate the principles on which their ministries are built. With the changes in doing ministry that 2020 and 2021 have brought\, how can we shape our values and mission to meet the needs of our respective local contexts? Pastor McTyer serves as Minister of New Church Strategies for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada. \n\n\n\nShare “Upgrade Thursdays” with other members of your congregation!
