Mapleton Church of Christ and St. Thomas Christian Church are excited to invite you to the All Canada Convention in August of this year. The planning committee has been meeting for several months and putting together an excellent program to host all of Canada.

Theme: Open Table, Open Tent, based on Isaiah 54:2 “Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes.”

The conference’s key note speaker will be Lori Ransom. She serves as a Reconciliation and Indigenous Justice Animator for the United Church of Canada. Other workshops may include Ecumenical theme, Indigenous spirituality, Watercolour painting, Nutrition and Brain Health and speakers from the General Church. Sign up for workshops will be available closer to the event.

Rev. Wesley King, our Associate Executive Minister of Administration, will deliver a workshop on what New Church Ministry provides the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada, and a look ahead at what to expect.

Activities will begin on Thursday for those arriving early. Friday will feature a full day of workshops. On Saturday, we will gather for the Annual General Meeting (AGM), worship, and a free evening banquet. Sunday morning worship followed by lunch will conclude the gathering.
