“Upgrade Thursdays” are coming to Georgia Disciples!

“Upgrade Thursdays” is a creative experience using a virtual platform to inform, inspire, and encourage the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Georgia family. Drawing from expertise throughout the region and denomination, presenters will offer an hour-long, Assembly-style workshop on selected Thursday evenings to Disciples across Georgia. Whether you’re a church member, lay leader, or clergy, you will find multiple opportunities to join in the ways God is leading us in the regional ministry’s LIFT mission: Loving, Impactful, Faithful, and Transforming leaders and communities of faith. (Plus you can skip the travel and stay within the comfort of your own home.)

Pastor Terell L. McTyer will be presenting Return to “Why” – Reassessing & Reapplying Your Values & Beliefs.

This workshop will help clergy and lay leaders evaluate the principles on which their ministries are built. With the changes in doing ministry that 2020 and 2021 have brought, how can we shape our values and mission to meet the needs of our respective local contexts? Pastor McTyer serves as Minister of New Church Strategies for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada.
