General Assembly

Workshop

With dozens of workshops to choose from, church leaders from across the life of the church can enrich their knowledge while connecting with others who are curious about the same topic. New Church Ministry invites to you to participate in DisciplesNEXT, a workshop in the Within Us track hosted by Rev. Dr. Jose Martinez, Minister of New Church Strategies, on Tuesday, August 1 at 10:15 AM.

DisciplesNEXT

Our context is a Post-Christendom, global pandemic recovering world. Therefore, we have to look into the quality and not the quantity when it comes to making new disciples and establishing new congregations. Through a collaboration of New Church Ministry, the Office of the General Minister and President, and the College of Regional Ministers came a framework to lead us into the “Next Normal.” Rev. Dr. Jose Martinez will present the DisciplesNEXT Framework that will demonstrate how our Church will start new faith communities to be a “Movement for Wholeness” in a Pandemic Informed World.

Exhibition Booth

Our ministry will also be present in the exhibit hall at booth #516 with Disciples Church Extension Fund (DCEF), where we will be offering space to create your own prayer beads and learn more about contemplative action as a core value in ministry. We will also be providing giveaways – cruise by for NCM-branded swag!
