Lead Better through Self-Awareness

As part of the Illinois & Wisconsin region’s summer 2021 online retreat, Pastor Terrell L. McTyer (Minister of New Church Strategies), will be facilitating a one-day Zoom session to help its School for Ministry‘s cohort students assess and understand their leadership styles. The workshop is also open to participants outside of the School for Ministry. 

Workshop description

Self-awareness is the ability to use introspection and reflection to gain a clear and objective understanding of oneself. When developing your leadership skills and style, you are most effective when you know yourself then make improvements and adjustments accordingly. God designed you with leadership uniquenesses that contribute to your efficacy, mission, and impact. Construct your incomparable and personal pathway for better visioneering, team-building, and ministry management.

The workshop hours will be between 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. (Participants will have a ½ hour break from 11:30 to 12:00 noon)

Each June, the School for Ministry’s Summer Intensive Retreat provides an in-depth study of a particular topic. This year’s Retreat will comprise a 3-day, virtual experience with a focus on preaching and leadership. During the event, students will have opportunities to deepen their spiritual formation as well as hone their skills for ministry. Online registration will be available beginning May 1, 2021.

About the Presenter

Pastor Terrell teaches, equips, assists, and multiplies leaders and congregations across the United States and Canada through New Church Ministry to increase missional efficacy and efficiency towards starting sustainable, world-changing churches, and making disciples.
