Unpacking the Core Competencies of DisciplesNEXT: Contemplative Action
May 8 @ 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm EDT
What does contemplative action look like in our daily lives? Join Rev. Brian Frederick-Gray, Director of Justice and Advocacy Ministries for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada and host Rev. Dr. Jose Martinez, Minister of New Church Strategies, for an IMPACT webinar that explores this core competency of DisciplesNEXT, its connections to spiritual formation, and what it has to do with New Church!
To equip Disciples movement initiators DisciplesNEXT will foster three core competencies in our leaders: Contemplative Action, Prophetic Advocacy and Faith-Rooted Organizing.

This competency is aligned with “Be the Good News” of New Church Ministry‘s Mission. Not only is spiritual formation crucial for leaders starting new faith communities, but those spiritual disciplines and practices also motivate the faith community.
